- GENERAL -
The Theatre is in proscenium arch form, with a raked stage, seating on three levels, and an orchestra pit
1997 Performing Arts Centres Facilities Audit  
In the 1997 Performing Arts Centres Facilities Audit conducted by Arts Victoria and the Victorian Association of Performing Arts Centres, Her Majesty's Theatre was recommended for a "AAH" category rating (AA - Best Practice Facility, H - Historic)

Of these seats, 40 are considered to be "slips" (sight obscured positions).
There are 60 standing positions in the Balcony or "gods" if these are not required by the Hirer for the Follow Spot operators.
Foyer  
The Hugh Williamson Foyer is accessed directly off Lydiard Street South. The candy Bar is located in the Hugh Williamson Foyer.
Long Room Bar  
The Long Room contains a licensed bar and is situated above the Hugh Williamson Foyer between the Dress Circle and Balcony levels. The room may be used for private functions and can accommodate up to 100 people standing or 90 with patrons seated in auditorium style (capacity includes attendant staff).
Orchestra Pit  
The Pit at the front of the Stalls, accommodates up to 25 musicians comfortably, although is has fitted up to 35. The Pit walls are fitted with lighting, audio and power outlets. A dedicated dimmer, operated from a remote unit near the conductor, allows control of sconces. Access to the Pit is via basement Dressing Room level. 20 music stands with sconces are available.

Single purchase counterweight set, operated from Prompt corner. Curtain flies out to a maximum of 5.5m.

31 double purchase, counterweight sets with steel battens and 4 pickup lines. Operated from Fly Floor on OP. There is provision for 47 sets and in time new lines will be added.

The stage is 6.3m above ground level. A portable hydraulic Stage Access Mechanism is used to facilitate loading to stage. The platform area is 1.6m wide x 2.92m long and has a safe working load of 900kg

Program Relay

- ADJUDICATOR'S POSITION -
Situated at the front of the Dress Circle
Connections for audio, lighting console, SM communication, house light control, power and non-dim relay control.
This position can also be used as a Production Desk during set-ups and rehearsals.
- DRESSING ROOMS -
There are 12 dressing rooms on two levels below stage and the Melba Room above. These are available to the hirer. All have individually lit make-up benches, hooks, costume racks, shelves, hot and cold water and program speakers. A Laundry is also available.
