Venue Her Majesty's
The Merry... June Bronhill
A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO AN AUSTRALIAN STAR AND THE FIRST LADY OF MORNING MELODIES.
By the early 1960s, everyone had heard of Joan Sutherland, but there was another soprano from Australia whose name also happened to start with J making a name for herself in London.
She was June Gough but in the spirit of Melba before her, she took inspiration for her stage name from the city of her birth and little outback Broken Hill became Bronhill and known throughout the world.
This is a show that tells the life and songs that made June Bronhill famous around the world and features hits from The Sound of Music, The Merry Widow, The Dancing Years, Ivor Novello and The Pirates of Penzance.
